Gasing is a giant top spinning which is one of the popular traditional games among Malay people. There are various shapes of gasing that are made from wood. The players will beat each other and who’s Gasing can make a top spin longer will be a winner. In the area Tapoh Terengganu, they are local people still practicing and playing Gasing. Silat

Martial

Silat is a famous Malay martial art in Malaysia and also in Indonesia. Usually, there will be two opponents who perform their skills with or without using Keris accompanied by the music of traditional instruments . Silat has different versions such as Silat Gayong, Silat Pulut, Silat Bunga Melayu and many more. Besides for self-defense, Silat also will be performed during special occasions such as a wedding for Malays. If you are lucky visit  to Terengganu during the "wedding session" you will get the chance to see Silat performance.

At Pantai Batu Burok, Kuala Terengganu, there will be held a Weekly Cultural Show that shows the richness of traditional dance. Terengganu popular with Ulek Mayang Dance, Gamelan Dance and Rodat Dance. Also, you can enjoy listening to the traditional music during the performances.

Wau Bulan

Wau Bulan is a huge size of kite that made from thin rice paper and also with a bamboo frame. It is in category traditional sport among Malays in Terengganu and Kelantan. Wau Bulan inspired by the shape of the moon and decorated with unique and beautiful art. You can see old people flying the kite nearby beaches in Terengganu area.

Songket & Batik

Fashion

Songket is one of Terengganu’s popular cloth whose weavers are the best in the country. Songket can consider a luxury textile because of the gold and silver borcade that weaved on the silk base of the Songket. Usually, men and women will wear the Songket for special events or occasions. The price of Songket quite expensive because of the material used to weaving it and the designs of itself.

Batik also one of the popular cloth in Terengganu. Local people will draw the design that inspired by nature with traditional elements. Terengganu and Kelantan are the biggest producer of batik. Batik can wear not only for special occasions instead for daily wear for men and women.
